The Kilroy Company was
founded by Edward A.
Kilroy Sr. in 1918.
Well-recognized
throughout the Midwest,
the Kilroys built their
reputation on erection
of steel commercial
buildings.
The company
diversified from
1950-1970 into oil and
gas exploration, as well
as other manufacturing
enterprises including
machining, plastics and
venture capital.
The Kilroy
Company gradually
divested of its
historic holdings and
re-focused the
company’s efforts on
manufacturing,
effectively launching
the third generation
of leadership.
In 1995,
William S. Kilroy II
assumed the positions of
Chairman of the Board
and CEO of the Kilroy
Company from his father
Ted Kilroy. Under his
leadership, Bill
acquired businesses in
the aerospace, power
generation, medical
implant and medical
device markets.
